The Interrogation Begins Again
Yellow Cat Story 52 begins with Black asking the question Yellow has heard far too many times:
“Yellow… where were you last night?”
Yellow immediately looks offended.
He has barely had time to prepare an excuse, and Black has already reopened the investigation.
But this time, Yellow does not retreat.
He fires back.
If Black wants answers, then perhaps she should explain her own strange behavior first.
Yellow Turns the Questions Around
For once, Black is not the only investigator in the room.
Yellow points out that Black has been acting suspicious too.
She disappears.
She keeps secrets.
She has her own mysterious meetings.
Black does not appreciate the accusation.
The argument quickly changes from:
“Where were you?”
to:
“What about you?”
And just like that, both cats are on trial.
Nobody Trusts Anybody
Black says Yellow is impossible.
Yellow says Black is impossible.
Black says she does not trust him.
Yellow proudly answers:
“Neither do I!”
There is a brief moment of silence.
It is not a peaceful silence.
It is the kind of silence that appears right before someone makes a terrible decision.
Both cats stare at each other.
Neither side has evidence.
Neither side has surrendered.
And neither side is willing to stop talking.
The Argument Becomes a Chase
The discussion finally becomes too loud for words.
Black moves.
Yellow follows.
What began as a relationship problem now turns into a full tactical pursuit across the room.
Black reaches the sofa first and jumps to safety.
Yellow arrives one second too late.
From above, Black looks down at him with the confidence of a cat who has just won the argument by changing elevation.
Black Gets the Last Word
Yellow looks up from the floor.
He may still have arguments left.
He may still have questions.
But Black has the high ground.
She delivers one final taunt:
“Ha! Missed me!”
The interrogation is officially over.
The chase is over.
The trust problem is definitely not over.
But for now, Black wins.
