Waiting for Black… and Business 😹 | Yellow Cat Story 70

Black Is Still Missing

Yellow Cat Story 70 begins with Yellow waiting for Black to come home.

At first, he sounds genuinely worried.

Black had not returned after the trouble at the wine bar, and Yellow was beginning to wonder whether she was still out there fighting with someone.

The evening was getting late.

The house was quiet.

And Yellow was hungry.

That last detail quickly became very important.

Concern Slowly Changes Direction

Yellow complains that Black should be home by now.

After all, someone has to prepare dinner.

He is tired.

He is hungry.

And he is losing energy.

Then, almost without noticing, Yellow’s concern begins to move in another direction.

What about the pretty new girl?

Did Black scratch her face?

Was she okay?

Yellow seems particularly worried because, as he carefully points out, she has such a cute face.

Boss quietly reminds him that Black has also been spending time at church lately.

Apparently, she has been praying very hard.

For some reason, this information does not make Yellow feel better.

Yellow Starts Searching

By the next day, Black still has not returned.

Now Yellow has taken action.

He has walked around the neighborhood looking for her and returns looking exhausted.

This time, Yellow begins speaking like a disappointed family man.

Black, he says, does not seem interested in protecting the household.

She stays out all night.

Dinner is not ready.

And Yellow has been forced to search for her himself.

The speech is surprisingly responsible.

Almost touching.

For a moment.

Yellow Cat Story 70: The Real Emergency

Boss asks if Yellow is genuinely worried about Black.

Of course he is.

Yellow would like everyone to understand that family is important.

But then he explains why Black needs to come home quickly.

First, she needs to prepare some food.

Yellow is starving.

Then, once he has eaten, he has somewhere important to go.

Business.

Very important business.

Suddenly, the entire search operation makes sense.

Yellow was not only looking for Black.

He was waiting for the household schedule to return to normal so that his own evening schedule could begin.

Waiting Has a Purpose

Black may be missing.

Dinner may be late.

The pretty girl may or may not be safe.

But Yellow still has priorities.

He wants Black home.

He wants his food.

And after that, he wants to leave again.

Apparently, this is Yellow’s idea of maintaining a stable household.

Black handles dinner.

Boss handles the questions.

And Yellow handles the private business.

Yellow spent all night waiting for Black.

Dinner was late… and so was his business. 😹
