Yellow Cat Story 67 begins with Black finally returning home after spending time wandering around the neighborhood.
Madam immediately notices that something is different.
Black is quieter than usual. The sharp eyes are still there, but the usual confidence seems to have disappeared somewhere between the wine bar street, the fried food shop, and the church.
Black says her heart simply felt empty.
So she walked.
She wandered.
And eventually, she went to church to calm herself down.
Just Praying, Apparently
Madam asks the obvious question.
Was Black thinking about joining the choir again?
Absolutely not, Black says.
She only went there to pray.
Then Madam asks the more dangerous question.
Was she actually hoping to see Church Guy?
Black immediately denies it.
Of course not.
He was probably busy anyway.
Then, almost accidentally, Black reveals the truth.
He saw her.
And he did not even say hello.
For someone who insists she was only praying, Black seems to have collected a surprisingly detailed report.
Madam notices this too.
Black’s defense is simple:
She was praying with her eyes open.
Heartbreak Turns Into Surveillance
By the next night, something has changed.
Black is no longer simply sad.
Now she is gathering information.
She tells Madam about a new girl around the wine bar. According to Black, this girl is definitely not ordinary.
Black has seen her sitting very close to the neighborhood’s wealthy tuna factory owner.
They were whispering.
They were smiling.
And, according to Black’s extremely unofficial report, they looked far too happy.
Madam suggests that the neighborhood boys must be jealous.
Black dismisses them immediately.
Idiots, apparently.
The Night Patrol Report
Black then announces that she is exhausted.
After all, she has been on patrol all night.
Madam begins counting Black’s recent workload.
Watching Yellow.
Going to church.
Checking the wine bar.
Following neighborhood romance.
Maintaining surveillance on the tuna factory owner.
This is becoming less like heartbreak recovery and more like a small intelligence agency.
Finally, Madam asks the question that explains everything:
“Black… are you heartbroken or working for intelligence?”
Black does not hesitate.
“…Both.”
Black Has Found a New Career
Maybe Black still misses Church Guy.
Maybe watching Yellow’s endless “private business” has made her suspicious of everyone.
Or perhaps heartbreak simply gave her too much free time.
Whatever the reason, Black has returned home with more than a broken heart.
She now has files.
Witnesses.
Observations.
And probably several cases still under investigation.
Black went out to heal her heart.
She came back with an intelligence report. 😿😹
