Yellow Cat Story 58: A Cat Without Hope
Yellow Cat Story 58 begins with something unusual.
Yellow is quiet.
Very quiet.
Boss immediately notices the problem. This is Yellow—the cat who normally has an explanation for everything, a private appointment somewhere, and at least three reasons why none of it is his fault.
But today, he looks completely defeated.
“Yellow, why are you so quiet today?”
Yellow slowly begins to explain his miserable life.
And naturally, the problem is Black.
Black Watches Everything
According to Yellow, Black monitors everything he does.
Where he goes.
When he comes home.
Who he meets.
Probably even which direction his whiskers are pointing.
After Black’s recent ground-and-air surveillance operation, Yellow feels there is nowhere left to hide.
His private life has disappeared.
His freedom has disappeared.
And according to Yellow, things are even worse.
“She doesn’t even feed me.”
At this point, Yellow is no longer describing a domestic disagreement.
He is presenting a humanitarian crisis.
Yellow Reaches Rock Bottom
Yellow lowers himself to the ground.
His head drops.
His eyes lose their usual confidence.
The famous neighborhood Romeo—the cat who once considered wine bars, mysterious ladies, and late-night adventures essential parts of life—has apparently lost everything.
Then comes the declaration.
“But I have no reason to live anymore.”
Boss is now facing a cat who appears to have officially retired from life.
No freedom.
No food.
No romance.
No private business.
The Yellow Empire has fallen.
Boss Has Some Interesting News
But Boss knows Yellow.
And when Yellow collapses dramatically, philosophical advice may not be the most effective medicine.
Sometimes you just need the correct information.
Boss says something.
Yellow listens.
For a moment, nothing happens.
Then his head rises.
His eyes change.
The defeated cat suddenly looks very interested.
“…Really?”
A Miraculous Recovery
That was fast.
A few seconds earlier, Yellow had no reason to live.
Now apparently there might be one.
No long recovery.
No counseling.
No motivational speech.
Just one interesting piece of information from Boss, and the system immediately restarted.
Black may control the ground.
Black may control the air.
But there is apparently still one thing powerful enough to bring Yellow back from total despair.
Boss found the cure.
Yellow just needed the right rumor. 😹
