Forever Has an Expiration Date
Yellow Cat Story 48 begins with Black looking unusually miserable. She is quiet, curled up, and clearly not in the mood for another interrogation.
When asked what happened, the first explanation sounds harmless enough:
“Nothing… We just studied the Bible.”
That sentence used to make Black sound innocent.
Now it sounds like the beginning of trouble.
Because this time, Bible study apparently included a promise.
A very serious promise.
“Forever.”
Black Believed the Promise
Black had taken the word seriously.
Forever meant trust.
Forever meant loyalty.
Forever meant that the secret back door would probably remain available.
For once, Black allowed herself to believe that the church guy might actually be different from Yellow.
No mysterious wine bar.
No Scarlet Lady.
No suspicious perfume.
Just Bible study, choir practice, and one beautiful word:
Forever.
Unfortunately, forever lasted until someone updated the security system.
Then Came the Door Code
Black finally reveals the real problem:
“Now… he changed the door code.”
Silence.
That one sentence destroys the entire romance.
No argument.
No dramatic goodbye.
No farewell letter.
Just a new password.
Black had expected heartbreak to feel poetic.
Instead, it feels like standing outside a locked door entering the old code again and again.
A Very Modern Breakup
Boss tries to understand the situation.
Did he say it was over?
No.
Did he ask Black not to come back?
Not exactly.
He simply changed the code and failed to provide the new one.
Black stares ahead.
Perhaps this is how modern relationships end now.
Not with:
“We need to talk.”
But with:
“Incorrect password.”
One Last Security Problem
Then Black suddenly remembers something even more dangerous.
Yellow.
She looks around and asks quietly:
“Yellow… doesn’t know, right?”
If Yellow discovers that Black’s great Bible-study romance ended at a locked door, he will never stop talking about it.
For once, Black does not want an investigation.
She wants classified information.
After a brief pause, the decision is made:
“No. Let’s keep it that way.”
The church guy changed the door code.
Black changed the subject.
And Yellow, for now, knows absolutely nothing.
