Rooftop Duty Begins
Yellow Cat Story 74 begins with Yellow sitting high on the roof, looking unusually serious.
From below, he almost looks like a guard cat watching over the neighborhood.
The street.
The sky.
The future.
Boss is impressed for about three seconds.
Then he realizes Yellow may actually be asleep.
Yellow strongly disagrees.
According to him, this is rooftop duty.
A highly advanced form of neighborhood security.
Apparently, closing your eyes does not mean you are sleeping.
It means you are “watching from the inside.”
Yellow’s Important Dream
Boss asks what exactly Yellow is watching from the inside.
Yellow explains that he is having a very important dream.
Naturally, the dream contains two major priorities.
Dinner.
Then business.
This is becoming a familiar pattern.
Yellow can turn almost anything into business.
A wine bar visit becomes private business.
A suspicious disappearance becomes classified business.
And now even sleeping on a roof has been promoted into advanced security duty.
Boss is beginning to suspect that Yellow’s real talent is not strategy.
It is naming things.
From Rooftop to War Room
After getting enough rest, Yellow moves from the roof to the wall.
Now he looks different.
Alert.
Focused.
Strategic.
Boss asks what he is doing.
Yellow says he is making a plan.
Not just any plan.
A very important one.
The target?
The pretty new girl at the wine bar.
Yellow explains that you cannot simply walk into a wine bar and hope for success.
You need timing.
Charm.
Positioning.
Strategy.
Boss listens carefully.
This no longer sounds like romance.
It sounds like a military campaign.
The Love Operation
Boss asks the obvious question.
Is Yellow planning romance or a military operation?
Yellow does not hesitate.
Both.
Apparently, the wine bar now requires tactical preparation.
Maybe there is an entry route.
Maybe there is a backup plan.
Maybe fried shrimp will once again become part of the budget.
Whatever Yellow is planning, he is taking it very seriously.
Then he announces that it is almost time to go.
There is only one problem.
He is hungry.
Mission One: Dinner
Boss is confused.
After all that planning, Yellow is delaying the entire operation for food?
Of course he is.
Yellow explains the situation clearly.
A hungry man cannot run a love operation.
And with that, all of the strategy, timing, charm, and positioning suddenly become secondary.
Dinner first.
Romance second.
Survival always.
Yellow started the day as a rooftop philosopher.
He ended it as a love-operation commander.
But dinner was still Mission One. 😹
