The Wine Bar Disaster
Yellow Cat Story 69 begins with Yellow returning from the wine bar in a state of complete outrage.
According to Yellow, Black had stormed into the place, yelled at Madam, shouted at the pretty new girl, and turned his carefully planned “private business” into a neighborhood spectacle.
Yellow insists that none of this was his fault.
He had simply gone to the wine bar.
For business.
Very private business.
Yellow Blames Management
Yellow immediately asks Boss the most important question.
Did Boss tell Black where he had gone?
Boss says no.
He only mentioned the fried shrimp.
That apparently was enough.
Black had connected the evidence, located the wine bar, and launched what Yellow describes as a full-scale attack.
Yellow complains that the entire neighborhood saw what happened.
His reputation is ruined.
His business has been interrupted.
And naturally, he expects Boss to fix everything.
Boss reminds him that he created the problem.
Yellow agrees.
That, apparently, is exactly why he needs management.
The Secret Safe Zone
A little later, Yellow decides that complaining is no longer enough.
Black may be coming after him.
He needs somewhere safe.
Fortunately, Yellow claims to have his own secret hiding place.
There, he drinks some water, listens carefully for suspicious noises, and asks Boss to keep watch.
For once, Yellow seems genuinely worried.
Black had looked terrifying at the wine bar.
Claws out.
Eyes burning.
Definitely not in the mood for negotiations.
Survival Comes First
For a few peaceful moments, Yellow begins to relax.
No Black.
No shouting.
No claws.
The secret safe zone appears to be working.
Then Yellow remembers something.
The pretty new girl.
After everything that happened at the wine bar, perhaps she is upset.
Perhaps she needs comfort.
Perhaps Yellow should go check on her.
Boss reminds him of one small problem.
Wasn’t Yellow hiding from Black?
There is a pause.
Yellow considers his options.
Private Business Never Stops
A sensible cat would remain hidden.
A sensible cat might avoid the wine bar for several days.
A sensible cat might even reconsider the entire idea of “private business.”
Yellow is not that cat.
Black may be furious.
The neighborhood may be talking.
Boss may be tired of cleaning up disasters.
But somewhere out there, a pretty girl might need comforting.
Yellow has made his decision.
“I can hide later.” 😹
