Yellow’s Exhausting Search
Yellow Cat Story 46 begins with Yellow stretched out on the floor, looking completely exhausted.
He claims he spent the entire night searching for Black.
Every alley was checked.
Every wall was inspected.
Every suspicious corner received his full attention.
Now, after such heroic effort, Yellow asks for only one thing:
Peace and sleep.
Boss almost believes him.
The Story Sounds Almost Convincing
Yellow explains that searching for Black was difficult and emotionally exhausting.
He walked for hours. He called for her. He followed every sound and investigated every movement in the darkness.
According to Yellow, this was not ordinary wandering.
It was a rescue mission.
He presents himself as a devoted partner who sacrificed an entire night because he was worried about Black.
The performance is surprisingly good.
Perhaps a little too good.
Madam Remembers a Different Voice
Then Madam casually mentions one small detail:
“The voice I heard last night didn’t sound like Black.”
Yellow’s eyes open.
A moment earlier, he was too tired to move. Suddenly, he is completely awake.
He tries to remain calm, but the question has already changed the investigation.
If Yellow was searching for Black all night, whose voice did Madam hear?
And why did Yellow react so quickly?
Black Was Listening
Unknown to Yellow, Black is nearby.
She has heard the entire story: the exhausting search, the heroic concern, and the mysterious voice that apparently did not belong to her.
Black says nothing.
That silence is more dangerous than any argument.
Yellow continues pretending to rest, unaware that his explanation is now being reviewed by the one cat most qualified to investigate it.
Time to Leave
Black quietly reaches her conclusion.
Yellow may be tired, but his story is wide awake and full of holes.
Rather than confront him immediately, she decides to leave before he notices her.
“I’d better get out of here…”
Black disappears.
Yellow remains on the floor, believing he has escaped another difficult conversation.
He has not.
The investigation has merely been postponed.
