For Safety 😹 | Yellow Cat Story 30

Black Begins the Investigation

Yellow Cat Story 30 begins with Black asking one simple question: where did Yellow spend the night?

Yellow tries to look calm, but he is already sitting unusually far away. Black notices everything—the distance, the nervous expression, and the suspicious smell that seems to have followed him home.

Yellow insists that there is no evidence. Unfortunately for him, Black has never needed much evidence to begin an interrogation.

A Suspicious Night Away

Black keeps the questions coming. Where did Yellow sleep, whose sofa was it, and why did he return carrying such a suspicious smell?

Yellow answers carefully. He claims he was only resting, minding his own business, and certainly doing nothing that requires an explanation. In Yellow’s world, every strange night has an innocent reason—provided nobody asks for details.

Black does not look convinced. She has heard these speeches before, and they usually become less believable with every sentence.

No Evidence, No Problem

Yellow finally objects. Black has no photographs, no witnesses, and no proof that he slept on anyone’s sofa. As far as he is concerned, the case should be closed immediately.

He even tries to look offended, as though he is the innocent victim of an unreasonable investigation. But his careful choice of words only makes Black more suspicious. Yellow never actually says where he was. He only explains why Black cannot prove it.

The Safest Seat in the House

Black studies Yellow for a moment and asks the most obvious question of all:

“Then why are you sitting so far away?”

Yellow has prepared excuses for the missing night, the unknown sofa, and even the suspicious smell. But he knows there is no safe explanation for the distance between them.

So he gives the only honest answer of the day:

“For safety.”

Black says nothing. She does not need to. Yellow may have escaped the investigation, but judging by where he chose to sit, he clearly does not expect to escape the punishment.
