Yellow Has Lost His Audience
Yellow Cat Story 45 begins with Yellow lying on the floor as though the entire world has personally disappointed him.
Black is gone.
The Lipstick Girl has not returned.
Even the wine bar Madam no longer seems interested in listening to his stories.
Yellow insists that he no longer cares.
This would be more convincing if he were not staring dramatically into the distance like the final scene of a very cheap romance movie.
No One Is Listening Anymore
For a long time, Yellow survived on attention.
Black questioned him.
The Lipstick Girl gave him hope.
The wine bar Madam supplied rumors, emergencies, and suspicious invitations.
Now the neighborhood is quiet.
There are no secret meetings, no jealous arguments, and no one waiting to hear about his “important business.”
Yellow has finally received complete freedom.
Unfortunately, freedom feels much less exciting when nobody notices.
Yellow Declares the End of Everything
Yellow lowers his head and announces:
“I don’t care anymore… Just leave me here.”
He sounds completely defeated.
Boss considers leaving him there, exactly as requested. But Yellow’s dramatic pause suggests that he is still waiting for someone to beg him to recover.
No one does.
The silence becomes uncomfortable.
Even Yellow begins to suspect that his emotional performance may have lost its audience.
Boss Gives the Wrong Kind of Sympathy
Yellow expects comfort.
Perhaps Boss will say Black was unreasonable. Perhaps the Lipstick Girl made a terrible mistake. Perhaps the wine bar Madam will eventually realize what she has lost.
Instead, Boss offers one simple truth:
“You should have treated your woman better… while you still had her.”
Yellow freezes.
That is not sympathy.
That is an official investigation report.
The Painful Final Lesson
For months, Yellow blamed Black’s jealousy, her questions, and her wall patrols.
He never considered that disappearing overnight, returning with perfume, and treating every wine bar rumor like an emergency might create a few trust issues.
Now Black is gone, and the house is peaceful.
Too peaceful.
Yellow closes his eyes and sinks lower onto the floor.
He wanted freedom from questions.
What he got was freedom from everyone.
